Meet the Crew – Adam Bailey

1.What do you do at CreditorWatch and why do you love it?

I’m the new face in Brisbane as an Enterprise Account Director, having just started the journey so far it has been awesome and refreshing with everyone being so welcoming.

2. What does your average workday look like?

Getting straight into it. I’m a high energy person that loves to support a team to achieve outstanding results.

3. What makes CreditorWatch special to you?

I love the can-do team approach. By having a positive can-do approach – there is no challenge too hard if we apply the right amount of focus into every opportunity. When I was interviewing, I was drawn in by the energy of everyone I spoke with and the positive attitudes that everyone has.

4. What’s the biggest career lesson you’ve learnt so far?

Don’t do things mediocre. If someone else has done it why can’t you? My grandfather taught me from a young age that if you apply yourself, you can achieve the same success and potentially better it.

5. What was your first job?

Paperboy at 14 (wanted my own TV but mum said if you buy it you will appreciate it more). I was up at 4.30am riding to the newsagent to get my papers then finish by 7am

6. What are you most passionate about?

I have a real passion in leaving an environment in a better state than when I found it. No greater satisfaction in helping an entity or person-team achieve an outstanding outcome that leaves them in a better space or improves a function-workload.

7. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

I’m heavy into my sports. Dean Jones used to say a lot of cricketers get out when they score a 100 believing that their job was done. He used to say that was the best time to bat as you have achieved what is required of you and now the rest is all you.

8. If you could do another job for just one day, what would you do?

Open the bowling for Australia in an Ashes Game on Boxing Day at the G. I was a high-level cricketer as a youngster who was cursed by injury and cutdown at 17 with a blown-out knee and 3 broken ankles since.

9. What was your favourite part of 2021?

Coming home to my wife and daughter after being cut off from them in PNG due to the pandemic. Nothing is more important than family (except for getting a big deal over the line.. but don’t tell my wife that).

10. If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

What would you want to see? I have always wanted to drive route 66 across the states and stop at every diner and small town across the states. Maybe next year for my 40th.
