  • Residential address
  • Current/former roles in a company – company director or secretary
  • Date of Appointment to, and cessation from, a company
  • Current/former share interests in a company – number of shares and class of shares
  • Information on the company – ABN/ACN, Name and Address

An extract can also indicate if the person is a banned futures or securities representative or disqualified director.

What is a Personal Name Extract?

Personal name extracts, or director extracts, provide details about people associated with organisations registered with ASIC. An extract will contain a person's name, birth details and residential address. It will also provide an organisation name, number and status, as well as the role/s (director or company secretary) held by the person and the date they were appointed and/or ceased.

An extract can also indicate if the person is a banned futures or securities representative or disqualified director.

Why are Personal Name Extracts Important?

It is important to understand an individuals' history before going into business with them or bringing them on as a director or partner.

An extract will allow you to see an individuals involvement with other companies – currently and previously – and whether those companies are still trading.

Who would use a Personal Name Extract?

A director’s commercial history can be as important as a company’s history. Therefore it is recommended that a Personal Name Extract be reviewed along with a commercial credit report when:

Why are there multiple search results with similar names and birthdates?
