Cash flow keeps your business moving, but a customer who pays late, slows down or stops paying can really hurt.
CreditorWatch helps you spot the warning signs earlier than a standard credit check. Our proprietary Australian data, intelligent risk ratings and AI credit guidance show you who you're really dealing with, so you can act on adverse activity before it becomes a bad debt.
We draw on 50+ private and public sources to build the most complete view of Australian businesses anywhere: trade payment defaults, ATO tax defaults (including sole traders), mercantile enquiries, court and insolvency records, cross-directorships, accounting software data and millions of trade records.
Financial trouble rarely shows up in one place. By connecting proprietary signals that only exist inside our network, we surface deterioration that public records alone would miss.

CreditorWatch looks behind the façade to show you the true picture of the health of your trading partners. For example:
CreditorWatch is powered by Australian businesses sharing live payment data — more than 10 million trade records. The more that's shared, the sharper our picture of how businesses are actually paying one another.
This is why our data flags adverse activity earlier. Payment defaults are unique to CreditorWatch and one of the strongest predictors of failure — 25% of businesses with a trade payment default become insolvent within 18 months. When one is registered, we automatically alert every member monitoring that business, so warnings spread the moment risk emerges.
It's an advantage you can't bolt onto a credit report — it comes from 15+ years of proprietary data and an active network unique to CreditorWatch.
You shouldn't need to be a credit expert to make a smart credit decision. RiskScore combines unique signals — including proprietary payment default and tradeline data — into a single view of a business's creditworthiness and its risk of failure in the next 12 months: a score from 0 to 850 (higher = lower risk) and one of 14 ratings from A1 to F. It updates automatically, so it reflects risk today — not at the last reporting cycle.
Payment Ratings go further, showing how promptly a business pays relative to its industry — drawn from live accounting system integrations. We are the only credit reporting bureau to offer these integrations. That's one of the earliest signs a customer is starting to slip.
Together they answer the questions that matter:
Checking a customer once, at onboarding, isn't enough — and a static report will leave you exposed.
CreditorWatch continuously monitors the signals that matter and alerts you the moment they change — payment defaults, ATO tax defaults, court actions, mercantile enquiries, winding-up notices, adverse ASIC events and RiskScore movements. Data refreshes every five minutes, giving you time to follow up, reduce a limit or change terms while you still have options.
More data only helps if you can act on it. CreditorWatch's AI tools analyse our proprietary information and turn it into plain-English summaries, highlighting what's driving a business's risk, explaining key changes and recommending next steps.
Action Intelligence turns a risk alert into a plain-language action and shows the reasoning, with the final decision in your hands. It's the difference between being handed a report and knowing what to do about it.
Our data keeps getting more useful as invoices and payment outcomes flow through the platform — deepening a proprietary dataset competitors can't access.
More than six million invoices have been processed through our Collect product, building rich intelligence on payment patterns, debtor engagement and recovery.
In FY26, more than 40,000 payment defaults were registered on the platform — information shared with other CreditorWatch users.
CreditorWatch customers placed 3.7 million separate monitors on Australian businesses.
