Meet Andrew Thomson, API Sales Specialist VIC
1.What do you do at CreditorWatch and why do you love it? I
I have taken on the role of API Sales Specialist. I love this role because it’s great to see how efficient and streamlined businesses can be, using our API functions.
2.What does your average workday look like?
Currently still a lot of learning for me, getting my head around as many products as I can, while working closely with the development team and sales team.
3.What makes CreditorWatch special to you?
CreditorWatch from the moment I walked through the front door, was extremely inviting and the Melbourne team, in particular, have made me feel right at home.
4.What’s the biggest career lesson you’ve learnt so far?
To make sure you are happy with your career. You spend the vast majority of your time working and it’s important to be enjoying that time.
5.What was your first job?
My first job was working behind a bar when I was 16 back in Scotland. The job consisted of mainly collecting empty glasses and stocking the fridges.
6. What are you most passionate about?
My biggest passion outside of work is probably golf, I try and play every weekend when I can and always aiming to lower my handicap.
7.Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
I’ve always looked up to my dad and admired the way he carries himself and the way he treats others.
8.If you could do another job for just one day, what would you do?
I think I would like to be a pilot for a day, it would be amazing to be in control of a plane travelling at 500kph and the views would be awesome.
9.What was your favourite part of 2021?
Like most of us, 2021 wasn’t the best in a number of ways but the year finished off pretty well as I moved into a new house and started my new job at CreditorWatch.
10. If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? What would you want to see?
I’d like to fly back to Scotland to see my family, it’s been a long 4 years away from home and I’m looking forward to seeing them again.
