1.What do you do at CreditorWatch?
I’m a front-end developer responsible for software UI dev at CreditWatch.
2. What made you want to join CreditorWatch?
Well, countless facts! The diverse culture, supportive team, amazing product and one of the most important reasons is that CreditorWatch is the BEST PLACE to work in Australia!
3. What’s the biggest career lesson you’ve learnt so far?
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and never make the same mistake more than thrice.
4. What was your first job?
Grocery assistant at SUPA IGA in Perth in 2008.
5. What are you most passionate about?
I’m most passionate about helping people out, whenever at work or daily life. I used to work as a volunteer for Sino-Aus Seniors Community to assist organising events/activities for elders. I am always happy to help out anyone in trouble regardless of whether it is big or trivial. It makes me feel like my life is more meaningful.
6. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
Steve Jobs – the man who always believes “stay hungry, stay foolish” is the best motivation to keep creative. He inspired in me that tech couldn’t only be stiff, but could also be energetic and artistic.
7. If you could do another job for just one day, what would you do?
I would like to become a photographer, working on photo shoots in Antarctica.
8. If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? What would you want to see?
I would like to travel back to China to have a family reunion with my parents. I haven’t physically seen them for a couple of years due to COVID. I miss them so much!
9. Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know?
Most people don’t know that I’m actually a semi-pro sketcher. And I have enjoyed learning other different types of drawing (e.g. oil/water/ink/engraving/digital painting) since I was a kid. I imagine that one day when I retire I’ll pick up my pencil and brush again to create some artworks. Hopefully I can welcome everyone to visit my own gallery at that time. 🙂
